- New rules for owning a property in Dubai for foreigners
Can a property be sold after receiving a UAE Residence Visa?
– Now, it's possible!
If the basis for obtaining the Resident's Visa was the property purchase in Dubai, then by reselling the unit, the investor used to lose the visa.
The property was blocked in a Dubai Land Department (DLD) system for the whole period of the visa validity.
The only way to sell the apartment or villa was to cancel the visa and only then continue the selling process.
Now an investor can:
1. Buy the real estate of the same value, which is required to obtain the visa. The update applies to two visa types:
– 2-Year Investor Visa
Total investment: $204,000
– 10-Year Golden Visa
Total investment: $545,000
2. Replace an old Title Deed with a new one. It must be under the name of the same owner (visa holder).
3. Sell the first property and maintain the visa.
