The Leningrad region in Russia has sent 24 falcons to the UAE to uphold national traditions.

The Leningrad region shipped 24 falcons to the UAE. These falcons, raised in specialized nurseries, underwent extensive veterinary checks and preparations for the journey. Falcons hold great cultural significance in the UAE, symbolizing national heritage. Falconry is not just a sport in the region, but an important tradition passed down through generations.

Before their departure, each bird received a mandatory health examination at Pulkovo Airport. Rosselkhoznadzor inspectors ensured the falcons met all health requirements, checking for diseases like avian flu and ornithosis. Each falcon was also banded according to international standards.

Following the inspection, the falcons were transported to Domodedovo Airport for their flight to the UAE.
