UAE visa amnesty ends on October 31 and will not be extended
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) of the UAE has officially announced that the visa amnesty program, which commenced on September 1st, 2024, will conclude on October 31st, with no extensions. After this date, all individuals residing in the country in violation of visa regulations will be subject to administrative measures. Foreign nationals who fail to regularize their status before the amnesty ends will be placed on a "blacklist" and prohibited from entering the UAE in the future.
From November 1st, 2024, the UAE will intensify its efforts to enforce immigration laws. Large-scale inspections will be conducted in workplaces and residential areas to identify and deport individuals who are in the country illegally.
Major General Sultan Al Nuwaimi, Director General of the ICP, emphasized that there will be no leniency for visa violators after October 31st. All individuals who have been granted permission to leave must exit the country by the specified date.
