Rising property prices and record transaction volumes

Residential capital values rose in January 2022.
Dubai residential capital values rose in January 2022 according to the ValuStrat Index (VPI).

In January 2022, VPI rose by 1.1% compared to December 2021:

For villas – by 2% For apartments – by 0.4%

Compared to January 2021, VPI rose by 17.8%.

The highest results of property transactions in 2021
According to the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, the Emirate has recorded the highest results of property transactions in 2021:
  • 84,238 transactions worth $7.1 billion
Compared to 2020:
  • Volume of transactions rose by 30.7%
  • Value rose by 64.9%
This is a record value of transactions since 2008.

The highest value of transactions in 2021 was registered in February – $953 million.
