Uber and WeRide Partner to Introduce Robotaxi Service in the UAE

Uber Technologies Inc. has announced the launch of a cutting-edge robotaxi service in the United Arab Emirates, in partnership with WeRide Inc., a Chinese company renowned for its expertise in autonomous vehicle technology.

Starting this year, UAE residents will be able to book rides in driverless cars directly through the Uber app. This service is the result of a strong collaboration between Uber and WeRide, which has secured the necessary license to operate self-driving vehicles in the UAE.
