- Summer Season Ends in the UAE
Astronomical Autumn to Start on September 22
The Abu Dhabi Astronomical Center has announced the end of the summer season in the United Arab Emirates. The autumnal equinox will occur on Sunday, September 22, at 4:44 PM local time, officially marking the start of astronomical autumn.
As the scorching summer 2024 begins to ease, cooler temperatures are gradually taking over. However, despite the official onset of autumn, it is important to note that the UAE traditionally experiences a transitional period of about 40 days during which hot weather persists.
With autumn's arrival, daylight hours will slowly shorten, offering residents and visitors more comfortable conditions for outdoor activities, beach outings, and leisurely walks.
