The Dubai Taxi Company's Fleet at Dubai Airports Will Increase by 100%
350 new taxis will be environmentally-friendly.
The growth in the number of cars to 700 aims to:
– Increasing of trips by 30%
– Dropping of waiting times
– Provide Quicker Services to Passengers
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will construct a bridge linking Sheikh Zayed Road to Dubai Harbour.
The 1,500-metre 2-lane bridge serving 6,000 vehicles/hour aims to 1 travel time to Dubai Harbour: 12 mins – 3 mins.
Dubai Harbour is home to the premium location, Emaar Beachfront, cruise terminal, marina for 700 yachts, residential, retail, and leisure projects.
The number of electric vehicles (EVs) in Dubai reached ~26,000 in 2023
– According to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa).
Compared to 2022:
- Number of EVs increased by 72%
- Usage of Dewa's EV Charging Stations rose by 59%
The UAE plans to t the share of EVs on the road to 50% of the total vehicles by 2050 as part of Net Zero 2050
