Development of District 2020 and construction of the Damac Lagoons project

Dubai starts complex process to create District 2020 out of the Expo site.

Will remain in place and will be eventually repurposed: Pavilions of such countries as:

• Germany
• India
• Saudi Arabia
• UAE, etc.

2. Infrastructural facilities:

• Hotels
• Al Wasl Plaza
• Roads and parking
• Communications, etc.

Dismantling of all non-legacy structures at Expo site will be done in 3-6 months. All materials from the Expo site will have to be disposed in a sustainable way.

Damac Properties has signed a contract with the Indian conglomerate, Shapoorji Pallonji Group, for the construction of the Damac Lagoons project.
