Dubai unveils futuristic design for new Blue Line metro stations

Dubai has showcased an innovative design for new metro stations along the upcoming "blue" line. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has presented to the public the futuristic look and feel of these new stations.

The new metro stations will stand out from the existing ones with their futuristic design and functionality. Key features include:

• Sleek oval design: The stations will have smooth lines and an elegant appearance, elevated above the tracks.
• Dual-sided exits: Passengers will be able to exit the stations from both sides, providing convenient and quick transfers to other modes of transport.
• Viaduct over Dubai Creek: One of the most impressive features of the new line will be a 1,300-metre viaduct that will connect various areas of the city and offer panoramic views of Dubai Creek.

The "blue" metro line will pass through densely populated areas of Dubai, such as Mirdiff, International City, and Academic City. With a total length of 30 kilometers, it will become a vital part of the city's transport system.

The new line is scheduled to open in 2029.
