Confiscation of Electric Transport in Dubai

Dubai authorities have reminded all owners of two-wheeled electric transport to comply with traffic rules and adhere to the following guidelines:

- Electric transport is permitted only on designated lanes.

- Riding electric transport on pedestrian pathways is strictly prohibited.

- Carrying cargo on electric transport can result in loss of control and increase the risk of accidents.

- Altering the structure of electric transport is not allowed.

In Dubai’s historic Naif district, approximately 4,000 electric transport units, including e-scooters, bicycles, and e-bikes, were confiscated. These were seized due to violations of traffic rules by riders and owners, such as operating two-wheeled transport on public roads.
