Supermoon in the UAE

Today, residents and visitors of the United Arab Emirates will have a unique opportunity to witness an extraordinary astronomical event – the Harvest Supermoon. The Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG) is organizing a special event dedicated to this occasion.

The event will take place at the University of Dubai from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Attendees can view the full moon through telescopes, which will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual. Additionally, DAG staff will deliver engaging lectures on astronomy and various aspects of this phenomenon.
